I've just noticed something and I know I'm a little late, but I wanted to see where it fitted in the timeline I made when LOVE YOURSELF was first released. If you remember a while back when the highlight reels were released, I made a post connecting things and forming a theory, called BTS - LOVE YOURSELF Connections PT. 1 and I know I was supposed to make a part 2 but I think its a bit late for that now.
So its no secret that BigHit has announced BTS' comeback, which is due to be released on the 18th May (I know this post is late, they've already released all the teaser pictures, I'm sorry) and the sequel to Love Yourself 'Her' is called Love Yourself 'Tear'. I'll make a whole separate post about their upcoming comeback as I'm sure they will start releasing new stuff next week.
On the 3rd May, BigHit released a new set of TheNotes on twitter, following the previous ones, which were by Jin. These ones are by Jungkook and seem to present its situation after the car crash, he was in at the end of I Need U.
Before we properly get into it, lets revisit our timeline. The timeline comes from events of the highlight reel and previous notes.
Timeline:
Suga - 25th May
JHope & Jimin - 31st May
Rap Monster - 5th June
Jin (TheNotes) - 13th June
Jungkook - 14th June
V - 18th June
Jin - 11th July
Jungkookg's notes come before any of this, as they were released on the 22nd May. Which is why I am led to believe they're about the events that follow the car crash, assuming I Need U comes before the highlight reels.
Another huge clue that this is from I Need U era is because at the top is says "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life", being the album that I Need U was from and the album that started this whole story.
I think that the text is very explicit in explaining how his body and mind are feeling following the incident, describing it to be "floating". It also says "I started losing my conscience" as if it say he's fading in and out of life and what could potentially be, death. The first paragraph seems to be immediately after the accident, when saying "my body was floating, but in a blink, I was in the hard ground" giving us the imagery that time seemed to slow down, but ultimately speed up as the initial hit was over and he was on the ground.
The last two paragraphs could be about being on the way to the hospital, or actually in it. I think this because it seems that JK has managed to regain some feeling of his body. However he seems to still be coming in and out of reality and is still confused. In the last paragraph he says "In this world, the moon was also hanging backwards". What he could be seeing is the moon, but it could actually be a light in a hospital or ambulance.
The final lines are the most vague to me. The text reads "As my conscience started leaving me, someone spoke. 'Living will be more painful than dying, do you still want to live?'". There could be a multiple possibilities, as to who this could be; one of the members, a doctor, a potential lover. It is unclear as to who it could be. But similarly it was unclear as to who the painting was in JK's short film, Begin. Maybe there's a running theme of uncertainty or confusion?
For now, that's what I'm left with. I can't decipher much from what I've been given (as of now). Hopefully there will be some new highlight reels or short films, released in the upcoming week, which I can try and link into the timeline and connect with other theories. Until then here is the timeline thus far.
